Supervisor Chris H. Chambless reminds Clay County voters that July 20 is the deadline to register to vote or change party affiliation for the August 18 Primary Election. Though all voters will have a ballot, Florida is a Closed Primary state and voters may only vote for candidates of their own party:

Clay County Supervisor of Elections Chris H. Chambless invites the public to attend the Logic and Accuracy Test (L&A) for the August 18 Primary Election on Friday, July 31, at 9 AM inside the Clay County Supervisor of Elections Office at 500 N Orange Avenue in Green Cove Springs.

This public testing of the tabulation equipment is required by Florida Statute 101.5612(2) ahead of each election. The public test verifies that the voting equipment being used in an election is working properly. This includes the testing of the DS300 optical scanners used during in-person voting, the DS950 high-speed scanners, which tabulate Vote by Mail ballots, and the ADA-compatible ExpressVote ballot marking devices.
